First Place Award, 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 Petite Syrah – Grapes from El Dorado County were picked at 24 degree brix, fermented to dryness and aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Blended with 20% of 1999 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. A full body wine with a peppery flavor and lingering finish.
