2001 Chardonnay
Grapes were picked in 2001 from Devaux Vineyards, Carneros region. Approximately. 1000 lbs. of second crop grapes were harvested by hired pickers. Crushed and pressed by John, Gail, Herb, Gerri and John. 24 Degrees Brix, pH 3.32, TA 0.74%. Barrel fermented with Prise de Mousse yeast in an old Boutes barrel with a new French oak insert and aged sur lies for 8 months. Fined with bentonite and cold stabilized. Bottled unfiltered on July 20,2002. Total production 22 cases.

2001 Zinfandel
Grapes were picked in 2001 from Brandlin Vineyard, Mt Veeder region. Approximately.1000 lbs. of second crop grapes were picked from this beautiful vineyard of head-trained vines by John, Gail, Lorie, Karin, Ray, Fernando, Martha, Tom, Carole, George, Rosemary, Mary, Miriam, and John. 25 Degrees Brix , pH 3.41. Cold soak for two days then started fermentation with Prise de Mousse yeast. Pressed at dry degrees brix - no residual sugar. Barrel-aged 11 months in a new Budapesti Kadar Hungarian oak barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Total production, 30 cases.
