A 1997 southern Rhone blend, 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, harvested under a gibbous moon, by virgins clad only in silken gloves, at the penultimate moment that the confluence of masculine and feminine traits within the one grape, the all grape, attained a harmony, nay, a resonance melding the staccato acidity and lusty tannins with the voluptuous fruit and velvety texture, elevating the flavors beyond the merely hedonistic to a higher plane where the sensual and spiritual lie inextricably interwined in conjugal bliss.
